I have additional specialist training in bereavement, mindfulness, addictions, neuroscience, counselling teenagers, parenting skills, post traumatic stress, attachment, dementia, couple counselling, psychosexual counselling and group facilitation.
I have a B.A.Hons in Comparative Literature (1972) and a Masters of Philosophy in Latin American Literature (1980), both from Essex University.
I have a private practice in which I counsel men and women dealing with a broad range of issues - all those listed on my home page and more.
I work for the NHS in Women's Health with a focus on maternity bereavement counselling - miscarriage, stillbirth, termination and pregnancy following a loss. I also counsel clients dealing with fertility and gynaecological issues.
I have worked for the Alzheimers Society counselling people with dementia and carers; I also counselled the helpline staff of the Alzheimers Society.
I have worked for employee assistance programmes providing counselling to the corporate sector and as a volunteer bereavement counsellor.
